They have gone and done it now

Sat 18/05/07, I witnessed my friends get married yesterday. It was a beautiful ceremony and the Bride looked absolutely stunning and the Groom looked very dapper in his suit. There were a few tears mainly because the Groom started blubbing so that got us all going.

The ceremony finished and we were shunted outside to take photo's, at the same time the heavens opened and decided to drizzle on us. Still it was very funny to see the Bride getting confetti shoved between her cleavage.

At 1pm we arrived at the reception, the room was decorated to prefection, with all the tables filled with balloons and party poppers, these of course were immediately popped by kids scaring the crap out of all the adults.

I was going to be sensible and when I got asked if I wanted a drink, I asked for a pint of Lemonade. The look that I recevied for that little comment nearly killed me there on the spot, I could feel all eyes in the room on me, so I opted for the usual pint. That basically paved the way for the rest of the day/evening.

Pint after pint was shoved in front of me, so being polite and all that I drank the lot. By the time 5pm came I was pretty much well on my way. I had also caught the sun on my back and shoulders quite badly, by being slightly tipsy I didn't realise how bad I had caught the sun until I was informed.

Everyone was having a bloody jolly good time, drinks were plentiful the music was loud, and the Bride & Groom were having a blast.

The time came to say good night, (bearing in mind this was only about 10.30pm), too much alcohol had been consumed and the headache had started. But first I had to say goodbye to the Bride, I knew it would be difficult as she is leaving this beautiful town on Tuesday, but it was a lot harder than I thought. Tears started and couldn't be stopped. So I said that I would see her on Monday so we could blubb in the privacy of her own home and not in front of all her friends and family.

At this point I was abducted and taken to the toilets to have a pep talk by a couple of girls. One I knew and had spent most of the day with, but the other I had only seen there but had not spoken to her. Very strange indeed. So with my banging headache we walked home, eventually got back and collapsed. It wasn't too much longer that we crawled our way up to the bedroom where as soon as the head hit the pillow, we were sound asleep and in dreamland.

This morning wasn't so good tho, I felt like I had been put through the washing machine on high spin and couldn't see straight for at least two hours. Feel more awake now tho....

Don't think I will be drinking for a while yet, well maybe till next weekend have a birthday party to go to. Oh dear next Sunday is going to be awful....
